I am grateful to know that I am not the person I have taken myself to be. I am grateful to know that I am not my identity, projections, or personality filters.
I am grateful to have lived long enough to see the truth of the falseness I bought into so long ago. And I am hugely grateful to live in a time where there are those who remind me through their most creative work that who I am requires nothing... really.
I will never forget the lady in a class I took decades ago who told me her definition of love. Her definition of love was the ability to be real with another person. That hit me in heart, changed my life, and I never forgot her.
Much of what I have learned in recent history is that the survival skills I adopted as a youth was keeping me proped up as an adult, and it is\was a house of cards.
Thank you to Johnathan Fields at his blog Awake At The Wheel for sharing this video with myself and others. And most especially Thank you to Michel Fortin for this video on his blog on copyrighting, marketing, and life.
What started in the Teen years can be seen for what it is. This lasts about 6 or 7 minutes. Hardly anything I can write will begin to do it justice.
